Malaria in Kenya
This 6-week programme was conducted in cooperation with Tropical Institute of Community Health and Development (TICH) in Kisumu, Kenya.
The programme was supervised by Prof. Margaret Kaseje (TICH) and Prof. Tomohiko Sugishita (Tokyo Women's Medical University, Japan).
Our programme combined 3 live sessions on Zoom/WhatsApp every 2 weeks and asynchronous group tasks using online tools such as Invision Freehand.

Our research team published a paper reflecting on this case study, conducting a systematic review alongside. Our aim was to determine the status of community-based, health education interventions. Based on the findings, we also aimed to develop an educational module for medical students to combat malaria in Kenya.
